SA@Bの英語要件
すべてのバンドスコアが5.5以上だが、ひとつだけ5.0の場合
We may make an exception with a few minor caveats. First, we would like to know which kind of courses this student is interested in taking. Also, at which level they need to study…i.e. lower or upper division level courses. That being said, we would like to receive her wish-list of 10 courses based on our course catalogue. Among those courses, we would like to strongly advise that they take an English course as well…Possibly ALI 145 or 150. In addition, I am willing to do a Skype interview to assess her speaking ability.

寮のミールプランについて詳細を聞いてみました。

-The 7 day all Access meal plan allows the student to go anytime during the posted hours as many times as they wold like.  The other meals plans you have three meals per day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  They have many different food station to pick from and they are not limited on the amount they eat.

-The cost is for one academic year (two semesters).  If the student decides to leave after the fall semester, they will come to me and ask for a letter for the housing department that lets them know they will be leaving our program and returning to their country.  They will then turn that letter into the housing office.

-During the break periods, the students have to eat off-campus or during the morning and afternoon during the week they can eat at the restaurants that are open on-campus, however, they have to pay.  The dining halls do not have a kitchen for the students to cook in.  The dining halls are closed because most students go home or take a vacation.

-Once the students apply for fall housing they have until July 13, 2018 to change to a different plan.  Once the students are staying in on-campus housing, if they decide they do not like their meal plan they should contact me within the first week and I can check with the housing manager to see if a change can be made.

-There are 3 large dining halls that the students can choose from.  There is a dining hall at Hillside, Parkside, and Beachside.  The student can eat from any of these three.  We also have additional dining options on-campus but they have to pay extra unless they choose one of the meal plans with flex dollars and that money can be used at some of the other dining areas.

On-Campus寮の申込は自動的に秋学期＋春学期（2学期分）となり、1学期後に帰国する場合はその旨をハウジングオフィスに伝え、次学期分の請求がこないようにする必要がある。クラスを受講するのであれば夏学期のみの滞在も可。

Study Abroad@the Beach(SA@B)ではBusinessコースやってないが、経済学(Economics)のコースはある。
出願締め切り4ヶ月前には英語スコア以外の書類を作成し、現地に送付しておかなければいけない。※条件付入学は早めに。
クラスの希望(wish list)もその時6～10つの希望を出すようにとのこと。
2017年の春学期分から出願料$150(集中英語コース)と$200(学部コース)が必要になる。
残高証明書が2回目必要になるかならないかはケースバイケースとのことで、必要になるときもあれば、必要ないときもある。一番最初に提出した残高証明書の期限が切れていれば取得してもらわないといけない。

現地保険加入同意書について
保険への加入は義務でしたが、「学校の申込時」に保険加入同意書に署名したものを送らなければ、手続そのものを進められない、とのことです。

■　Study Abroad @ the Beach（SA@B）
1学期～1年間の休学留学者向けのプログラム。TOEFL iBT61～があれば申し込み可能。
英語スコアが満たない（持っていない）場合には、英語コースを組み合わせて申し込みをして、条件付をとることもできる。

SA@B申し込み時には、成績証明書やWish Listの提出が必要。
BusinessやAthletic Trainingは現地の学生にも人気なので、基本的に留学生は取れない。
留学生に人気のコース

など

■　編入
日本で1年時に編入する場合には、可能性はあるようですが、2年目以降の編入については厳しいそうです。
（編入するのにあたり、必要最低限の単位が日本の大学では取れないそうです。）

■　支払い
申し込み時には出願料が必要。
授業料は現地での支払いでもOK。出発前に支払う場合は、カードを推奨。（海外送金は受け取り側の手続きが面倒なので、やめて欲しいそうです）

<国籍>
ブラジル、ヨーロピアンが多いが、期間は一年間やそれ以下。ヨーロピアンは、フランス、デンマーク、ドイツなど。
ほか、タイ、台湾、韓国、インドネシア、オマーン、サウジ、UAE、トルコなど。

＜レベル＞
6まであり。4が修了すれば学部コース。5と6はブリッジ。5は英語ふたつ、学部ひとつ。6は英語ひとつ、学部ふたつ。
日本の高校卒業者だと、３か４からスタートのことが多い。
日本の卒業時期に合わせて、進学準備コースがあるので、夏：進学準備（レベル３）、秋：インテンシブ（レベル４）、と英語コースを取って、春から学部がお勧め。
もしくは、夏にレベル４であれば、秋から学部コースに入れる。

＜Study Abroad @ the Beach＞
一年のスタディアブロードコースは、トフル61でオッケー。ウィッシュリストに取りたい学部を書いて、願書と一緒に送る。フィルム、アート系は難しい。最終的に取る科目は現地で決まる。

＜サーティフィケート＞
・ロジスティクスのサーティフィケート。6ヶ月コース。実際港で働いている現役の人が講師。倉庫の物資管理や、サプライチェーンについて学ぶ。
・ＴＥＦＬコース（これから充実させるそうです）

＜ＭＢＡ＞
夜コースは2年
全日コースは1年（日本で経営学部だったら1年かからないかも）留学生向けに作ったが、最近はアメリカ人の受講者が多い。

＜滞在先＞
寮は高いし、すぐにいっぱいになる。2月から秋の応募できるから、5月ごろだと難しい。ホームステイは、徒歩圏内か、バスで15-20分。バスは市内は無料。

＜申込や問い合わせの注意＞
必ず申し込みフォームにエージェント名を記すこと。今後、Webで書類をアップロードなどするようになる。語学コースは今もコピーでオッケー。学部コースは原本必要。
メールは英語ですること。
Ｉ-20は３週間～４週間かかることも。。もし急ぎであれば、Emikoさんに伝えると多少プッシュしてもらえるそうです。。

＜日本人スタッフ＞
エミコさんしかいないが、基本的にはノータッチ。日本人留学生もエミコさんのことを知らない。

＜条件付＞
CSUメンターで学部にアプライしてから、語学にアプライしてもよいし、あとからでもよい。でも学部にアプライする予定があるなら、申し込み時に伝えるように。条件付きは取っておいたら、レベルが達した時点で入れる。ＣＳＵメンターでアプライできる時期が決まっているので注意。

＜カリフォルニア州立大学ロングビーチ校への入学＞

ロングビーチにフレッシュマンで出願する場合、合格ラインの目安はGPA3.2です。
条件付の取得はできますが、語学学校への申込みが先になり、大学への出願は期間が設定されているので、必ずしも合格がわかってからの留学とはならない場合があるので、注意が必要です。
