Free museums, parks, and student discounts offer affordable entertainment even in expensive cities such as London.
Student visas allow part-time work (20 hours/week during term time), which can support their finances whilst studying. The national minimum wage for students aged between 18 and 20 is £8.60 per hour whilst those aged 21 and over can earn £11.44 per hour. Many universities have employment opportunities for their students.

Health services are not free for international students. Healthcare surcharges are applied at the visa application stage as part of their application.
Students may not need to pay for
Once a student is entitled to health services, some of them will be free, for example:
consulting a GP and most other GP services (e.g. visiting a doctor’s clinic)
treatment in a hospital (both emergency and non-emergency treatment)
Students may need to pay for:
medicines prescribed by their GP
some GP services, vaccinations for travel, sickness certificates
dental treatment
optical treatment

ANU Collegeウェビナー内容共有

・ANU Collegeとは
Study Groupが運営する学校で、ANUへのファンデーションコースを提供している。ANUに併設されており、キャンパスの施設を利用することが可能。ファンデーションコースを一定の成績以上で修了すれば、大学進学が保証される。

・ロケーション
オーストラリアの首都キャンベラに位置する。CBD（都市中心部）なのでアクセス良好。（ワクチン接種率も高い。）

・大学ランキング
QSが選ぶ優れた世界大学ランキング27位、オーストラリアの大学ランキング1位を誇る。

・授業の特徴について
教授歴25年以上の先生が教えるので、授業の質が高いことが売り。Critical thinkingに重きを置いて授業を進めるそう。

・現在実施されているオンライン授業について
レコードされたものではなく、オンラインにてキャンベラよりリアルタイムで授業が配信される。（キャンベラ時間なのでサマータイムなど気をつける必要があるとのこと。）また、生徒の多くがオンライン授業に満足していると回答しているよう。

試験やクイズの際には、2つカメラを設置しcheatingを防ぐように対策されている。

・滞在先について
ホームステイ／民間ハウジング／ANUキャンパスの学生寮／18歳以下の4つの滞在先を用意。
一番のお勧めはANUキャンパスの学生寮とのこと。学生寮であっても、プライベートレベルが高く、1人部屋だから勉強にも集中しやすい環境。
留学自体初めての方にはホームステイがおすすめ。ただしホームステイのミニマムステイは4週間なので要注意。

・ファンデーションコース

Standard（50週間）／Extended（58週間）／Rapid（37週間）の3種類。

Standard ・・・一番人気なコース。高校の成績は平均3〜4が必要。

Rapid・・・High Pressureな環境となるため、英語でアカデミックの勉強をするのに自信がある人が向いている。必要となる高校の成績は平均4〜5が求められる。

※Study Groupへ成績表をメールで送れば、チェックしてくれるとのこと。
